Antique German Beer Stein Bicycle Bike Sports by Marzi and Remy #91 c. Description: This old German stein was made in early 19 0 0s. It is dedicated to the sport of cycling and showing a a cyclist with his vehicle. The inscription in the ribbon on the sides of the stein reads. Früh und spat, hoch zu Rad.

The stein was ma de by Marzi and Remy - one of the major names in ceramics manufacturing in the Golden Era of beer-stein s pro duction in late 1800-s - early 1900s It is not marked with the manyfacturer's mark, only the model number, but this model is well known among the collectors. Very nice and early example of sports memorabilia. Great ornate heav y pewter lid with a relief cyclist picture - a good match of stein and the lid.
