Antique German Character Beer Stein Munich Child by A. Diesinger #298 c. 1900
Antique German Character Beer Stein Munich Child by A. Description: This beautiful stein was made in Germany by Adolph Diesinger between 1 901 and 1910.

Diesinger is one of the most collectible beer stein manufacturers. His designs are unique and hard to confuse with anything else. The artistic creations of A. Diesinger could be described as "naive art" - that's probably why they are so popular.

The stein presented is a "character" stein - made in the form of Munich Child, the symbol of the city of Munich. Created as the coat-of-arms or archival seal of Munich in 1239, the centrally depicted Münchner Kindl (Munich Child) has evolved from a hooded monk standing in front of Munich's gate to a charming child and symbol of the city. The Munich Child character steins are probably the most common character steins ever. However, the character steins by Adolph Diesinger are quite rare and extremely collectible - they have the same flavor of "naive art" but in a sculptural form. Marked with the mold n um ber 298.

The body of the stein is identical to model 730, the head is totally different and quite rare. The stein is in excellent condition with some minor age-related paint wear. It is 7.5 tall, 0.25L capacity. Get Supersized Images & Free Image Hosting. Attention Sellers - Get Templates Image Hosting, Scheduling at Auctiva.
