Antique German Theresienthal Brownish Green Glass Beer Stein Engraved dated 1892. Description: This beautiful antique beer stein was made of blown glass in around the late 1880s. The glass is colored in beautiful brownish-green, with the slightly curved body shape and hand-formed pedestal. The specific bottle-green/brownish color is the distinctive feature of Theresienthal factory's production. The Theresienthal factory established in 1836 in the town of Zwiesel in Bavaria.The stein has vertical facets with oval "thumb-pressed" patterns on the inside. It creates a wonderful optical effect. The hand-formed pedestal made in vawed shape and polished on the bottom. The lid is made of pewter - a massive nicely shaped steeple lid typical for 1880 with the open type 3-ring hinge.
