The decorations were made by Heinrick Schlitt - the most famous Mettlach artist. The lid is pewter with Munich Child - the symbol of the city of Munich - on the thumblift. Marked with incised Mettlach "Tower" mark, impressed mold number 2181 and stamped decoration number 957. It is also marked with the date mark 95 for the year of 1895.The stein is described in G. Kirsner's "The Mettlach Book" on page 193. The stein in excellent condition - there is no cracks, lines, chips or repairs.
