Art Nouveau by Reinhold Merkelbach 2 L German beer stein antique # 2241 large
German Ceramic, 2 L, pewter lid. This stein was designed by Charlotte Krause. Condition & Description: A near mint condition Art Nouveau stein, only tiny issue of note is the center hinge ring is missing (though the lid functions perfectly). While the stein was produced by Reinhold Merkelbach, it was designed by a woman, Charlotte Krause. A very curious stein, with a nice round body and pour spout, the handle is also particularly stout.
