Large Antique German Etched Glass Beer Stein/Pitcher w/Ornate Pewter Lid c. Description: Presented is a charming etched glass serving beer stein or wine carafe made in Germany in around the late 1870s - early 1800s.

Made of hand-blown glass, beautifully and elaborately engraved with a copper wheel with grape leaves and vines, and geometrical elements. The handle was made in a swirling manner creating a fabulous optical effect. It is mounted with heavy ornate pewter lid with massive thumblift. Great glass with good pewter, and in excellent condition. The pitcher is large and impressive, standing 14 tall to the top of the thumblift, 2L capacity.
