Large Antique Sterling Silver Beer Stein England Georgian c. Description: Presented is large and heavy a ntique sterling silver beer stein made in England almost 200 years ago during the Georgian era - right between George III and George I V. Traditional barrel shaped body with two rows of bands, flat lid and arched thumblift.

Marked on the body and on the lid with London assay marks, letter mark for year 18 20 and the maker's mark that is too rubbed to be properly identified. The stein was re-modeled in 1882.

The spout was added with separate hallmarks for the year of 1882 and the makers mark for Holland, Son & Slater (John Aldwinckle & James Slater). It was also engraved on front with a presentation inscription - a fantastic work of art by itself. The bottom has some bumps but there is no damage.

The body itself shows no dings or scratches. A beautiful, large very impressive hi s torical beer drinking vessel. 2 pint / 1 L capacity. It weights 2 lb or 890 gr. Title: Antique Sterling Silver Beer Stein England c.
