Pair of 2 Antique Beautiful German Steins with Men / Monks Drinking Beer in Pub

Pair of 2 Antique Beautiful German Steins with Men / Monks Drinking Beer in Pub. The bigger one measures almost 12 inches tall and has 1-Liter capacity. It was made by the Reinhold Hanke's factory during the time period of late 19th to early 20th century. The smaller one has 1/2-Liter capacity.

They are both hand-painted with great details, vibrant and contrasting colors. As you can see on pictures, the relief on these steins is a thick, crisp wrap-around design with a raised scene of three men drinking from beer steins and using a barrel for a table in a tavern or pub. These antique German steins have bright colors with decorative bands on top and bottom of the main image. The glazes are deep, really a great example of German craftsmanship. The only impressed marks I can find on the taller one are "776" on the bottom of the stein and the capacity mark 1L. The smaller one has a capacity of 1/2-Liter, but it doesn't have a mold number impressed, just marked at the bottom " GERMANY ". Age: late 19th - early 20th century.

11 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" widest; 9" tall x 4" widest. Volume: 1 Liter; 1/2 Liter. Design based on a Grutzner's painting. This is a beautiful pair of steins that would make a great addition to anyone's collection. You can also check another of my listings with a Grützner framed oil on canvas.

These two steins are in unique great condition. They don't have any chips, cracks, hair lines, or repairs. The pewter lids are in great condition for the age and fit perfectly. The steins show vibrant colors without discoloration.
